Shanghai Orient Petroleum Equipment Co., Ltd. is a limited liability company initiated and invested by the New Technology Promotion Center of CNPC, which was formally registered and established in May 1993 by Daqing, North China Petroleum Administration Bureau and Shanghai Rubber Research Institute. Since 1989, the first LB40/120 (now GLB90-25) screw pump has been successfully used in Shengli Petroleum Administration Bureau, and has been developing for 25 years. At present, it is a first-level material supplier of petrochina and a member of the first-level network of Sinopec.

The company takes petroleum machinery as the leading products, mainly including: screw pump, whole cylinder pump, long plunger type sand control pump, drilling mud pump, screw drilling tools, oil special tools and various kinds of petroleum machinery accessories. The screw pump and accessories produced by the company are not only widely used in the major oil fields and local coal-bed methane fields of petrochina and Sinopec in China, but also exported to Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Russia and other countries.
